T2.4: Filter design optimization [M12-M15]
Based on the above characterization of test vehicles and filters, the distance between design results and actual measurements is estimated. The effective SAW properties and environmental sensitivities are used to rescale SOI design database and to improve its prediction capability. This sub-task provides all required information to manufacture the project demonstrators.Depending on this result, optimizations of the designs are performed using SOI toolBOx based on gradient or particle swarm algorithms. Once this operation achieved, design results are compared once again with requirements and a new compliance matrix is established. The final filter designs are shared with the project partners for defining a new set of GDS files. Supplementary test devices may be included to ultimately refine the SAW property analyses.
On the POI wafer side, it is noted that at this stage, considering the effective project resources, only subtle modifications of the POI material stack should be considered to guaranty the project development conformity to the general established plan. Nevertheless, a new ordering of POI is projected at this stage in parallel with the final reticule set. Note that for the final filter production, filter patterns will be associated considering dimension resolution to guaranty at best the fabrication homogeneity. TAS will assess finally the validity of the design.
