WP2 Font-End and Back-End Development

Objectives: To set the building blocks to manufacture SAW filters in the L/S bands complying with requirements and specifications of WP1 and to qualify the capability for high reliability small volume (<10,000/y) production of non- hermetic packaged filter solutions with extension to address medium volumes (>>10,000/y) To deliver filters exhibiting bandpass Insertion losses better than 1 dB and potentially reaching 0.5 dB, rejection better than 60 dB and potentially 80 dB, a temperature stability (TCF for temperature coefficient of frequency) better than 10 ppm/K and a compactness of the filter improved by a factor of 2 min compared to present SAW filters in the same frequency range.
